Post Full Corp RE-Vamp
Alright.

It's no secret I've been dead to the world for months now, finally I think I'd like to give eve another blast.

The corp still has a few of the long standing members such as Do Won and Chris to name a couple.

It's time I think to make the hard choice though; I for one don't want to give up on NoD. It was a great thing and I think with effort, be it substantial could be great once again. It is doubtful that the militia will return to the glory days but If we can get the count to 15 active members I think we'll have a good rounded corp to pew pew with still.

I know those few who have remained active do allot of messing about due to the Imperial Research Station (POS...god that sounded cool) the fact facing us is we would all have to go fuck nuts and try to get another 10 people, 10 people who will stay. That these days is no easy task it must be said. Recruitment is allot harder due to the fact allot of these FW players now will not have heard of the Achmed reputation which we formally used to entice new people to join due to the fact there too new.

This would mean we'd have to start being active again. Keeping those who joined interested and active. It's allot of work I won't lie but I have to say I don't have the strength of will or indeed time to climb so monumental a peak alone. We'd all have to do our part and then do more then have a smoke then do it again to get this corp back up to size. It sure as hell won't be easy.

So we can all work to build it back up or perhaps we should call it a day.

The reason I never rushed back is because FW was boring. Boring due to the lack of action anymore. Largely in part due to the corp activity declining and core members moving on.

I know blade190 one of the original-original achmedians will come back and help us if we opt for a rebuild. Streath may be convinced too so I'm not going to count either of them in our "10 new members" goal.

We need new blood or we need to disband and move on or we can stay as we are I suppose and I'll just exile my self for another 3 months...ugg.

Currently there are 23/50 members in the corp and about 5 of those are still playing, I did make the case right at the get go that once you join you can stay for life even if you don't log in for a year. I think it's best we stick to that for now as A; I don't want to go back on my word there. B; There's still 27 slots available C; I can always train the Mega corp management skill and D; It does at least give an illusion of size which is useful.

I also will make everyone currently still playing an Admiral(Director) so things can be affected smoothly.

So;
Do Won (Who I already promoted earlier due to an eve mail)
Vitriol17
Bill Door
GFUS
Chris F

That I can remember, did I miss any other still actives? (not IG atm) I will also give it to blade190 and Streath as they where directors in Achmed.

So; with all that said we all have a decision to make together on what we do.

Lets try make a firm decision which ever way within a couple of days so we can get started.

Post Re: Full Corp RE-Vamp
First off. welcome back.

Ive only been back from a 3-4 month break for a few weeks myself. As you said, FW got a little boring and i needed a break from the game to sort a few RL issues.

I dont think anyone wants the corp to die, im sure we would have moved on if that was the case, but we do need a direction. I joined FW for the easy PvP and still like that idea. Plus since the FW missions were buffed then slightly un-buffed, making ISK has been pretty easy, so my game time and ridiculous ship collection are paid for.

If we can get 10-15 corpies for a fleet, we would be golden, most militia fleets atm seem to be 25-30 max and they are getting pretty battered due to low skill points and bad fittings.

Im happy with the corp, the pvp is there when i want/need it as is the isk. The only thing we are missing is doing things as a corp.

Welcome back, seconded - motion carried.

As Chris says everything but the corp ops is here, but we need a purpose,
I think as a corp we need a mission.
My suggestion is "State Protectorate Academy Zero". (I had to add the zero for obvious reasons).
Malitia is crap, try to make it better by getting more people flying in it (obviously with us), do this by making it fun, profitable and educational.

Basically we do the same as we do for the moment but drag up some newbies who want to 'get on' in faction warfare.

So the plan:

Go after relatively newbies - Get them in a ship and run some mission and give them a taste of isk, get them to salvage level4s for us in hi sec and give them 5 mill an hour, give them the skills (both literally and a bit of training) that they need to fly in faction warfare, get them up to reasonable bc skills (two BCs can easily tackle level4 missions - the biggest problems newbs have stepping up to level4s is mustering the dps necessary), then get them to specialise once they can be self sufficient.

I think the corp should have enough money to sponsor 'newbies' up to at least cruiser perhaps bc level in a ship replacement program[1]. Exact details to be decided.

Recruit more experienced players who want to learn to fc and/or pass on their knowledge/do fw stuff.

Nominate two missioning hubs. One hi-sec the other low. By fleeting up with existing guys who mission in the area newbies can get on the standings ladder.
Sankassen or Tintoh are both good hi-sec ones.
Enaluri is a good low-sec one as it has two State Pro stations.

Even if one of the old guard isn't around hopefully there will be a couple of them online then they can fleet up to tackle missions together.

[1] Something like insure it and so long as you loose the hull on an op or in the contested zone (subject to a minimum number of mission / hours salvaging / ops )
